Following his retiral on 25th July 2020, Mrs Jane MacLeod, previously Vice Lieutenant, becomes Lord-Lieutenant of Argyll and Bute.

The Lord-Lieutenant is assisted by a number of Depute Lieutenants. as well as the Vice Lieutenant who will substitute in case of absence. The number of Depute Lieutenants is calculated on the basis of the population of the Lieutenancy.
